Crossroads Church has a plurality of elders who give oversight to the ministry. Each elder holds equal authority within the church.

Staff Elder
Matthew Emadi
Matthew Emadi grew up in Layton, Utah. He studied business at Weber State University where he also played on the men’s basketball team from 2002-2006. In 2008, Matthew moved to Louisville to pursue a seminary education at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He earned his Master of Divinity in 2011 and completed a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies in 2016. Matthew was called back to his home state in 2014 to serve as the Senior Pastor of Crossroads Church.
Matthew is married to Brittany and they have six children: Elijah, Jeremiah, Aliyah, Josiah, Judah and Isaiah. In his free time, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife and children.

Elder
Daniel Davidson
Daniel Davidson grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. After growing up in the LDS church, God graciously delivered Daniel and his wife Kalin out of Mormonism and into the truth of Christianity. Daniel has a passion for biblical truth and a desire to see others mature in their Christian walk. Daniel currently works in the pipeline inspection industry.
Daniel is married to Kalin and they have six children: Sage, Catori, Riley, Joshua, Isen and Eleanor. In his free time, Daniel enjoys backpacking, playing sports, watching movies, and gardening.

Elder
James Phelps
James Phelps spent most of his life in Gilbert, Arizona, before moving to South Jordan to be part of God’s kingdom work in Utah. He is an estate planning attorney and is also pursuing a Master of Biblical and Theological Studies at Western Seminary in Portland. James’ life has been transformed by God’s word in the Bible, so nothing brings him more joy than teaching and proclaiming the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ to anyone who will listen.

James is married to Jolene, and together they are raising three beautiful children—Rinsley, Ashton, and Ethan. In his free time, James loves to read, hike, and explore the beauty of God’s creation with his family.

Elder
Paul Warburg
Paul Warburg grew up in Moreno Valley, CA. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Biblical & Theological Studies from Liberty University in 2015, as well as a Master of Divinity degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in 2017. Paul moved to Utah in 2021 after learning that it had one of the smallest populations of evangelical Christians in the United States, giving him a desire to help support churches in the area. Paul currently works as a marketer in the tech industry, specializing in data science and analytics software.
Paul is married to Vienna. They currently have no children. In his free time, Paul enjoys reading about theology and economics, creating YouTube videos, fly fishing, and spending time with his wife.
